Sommario – Individuando le singole pericopi della Compilatio Assisiensis, e considerando i testi paralleli dal Memoriale e dallo Speculum Perfectionis, sul tema del governo dell’Ordine, si nota la di san Francesco tra l’esercizio del governo e la difesa della minorità. Il problema non fu unicamente del Fondatore, ma ebbe ripercussioni anche nelle relazioni tra i frati e il santo, viste anche alcune infedeltàall’essere minore, o gli abusi del potere in contrasto con la minoritas idealee primitiva. L’analisi parallela permette di notare i processi redazionali e le motivazionidei biografi nella trasmissione dei fatti avvenuti, nonché le loro interpretazionipersonali o comunitarie, con una costante, e cioè: Francesco indicava sempreai frati la sua scelta e la sua proposta della vita evangelica con molta chiarezzae fermezza.

Summary – When one identifi es the individual passages of the Assisi Compilationon the topic of governance of the Order with cross references to parallel texts inthe Remembrance of the Desire of a Soul and the Mirror of Perfection, one detectsa tension in St. Francis between the exercise of this ministry and the defense ofminority. This interior struggle was not uniquely the Founder’s. In light of someinfi delities to being lesser or the abuses of power contrary to ideal and primitiveminoritas, it had repercussions in his relationships with his brothers. The analysisof parallel texts allows one to observe redactions of the material and the objectivesof the biographers in the transmission of the events, as well as their initial personalor communal interpretations. There was one constant element: very clearly andstrongly Francis always told the brothers his own choice and position regardingthe Gospel life.
