ABSTRACT – Introduce today the Faith to young people. A deep investigation into the

puzzling modern society is essential to approach today’s youth, dealing with a complex

reality rich in terms of incompatible trends and multiple points of view. A sense of dismay

dominates, a youth prisoner of the only present, where the pursuit of the meaning of life

gets through to various human experiences. These aspects result in a crisis of content, affecting

religious and educational processes. The author claims that the “young faith” is

the outcome of subjective choice: it provides for a need of balance and inner harmony, a

consolation with no impact on the sense of responsibility. Thus, a renewal of the religious

offer appears to be an urgent need. A new pastoral should be based on a policy of inclusion

and dialogue with each young, proving to be tolerant and open-minded, to foster the

encounter with God, fraternity and commitment of solidarity.
