Il Pontificio Istituto Liturgico (PIL) è stato negli ultimi decenni un punto di riferimento importante per numerosi studiosi della liturgia. In questa testimonianza, l’autore narra la sua esperienza come alunno negli anni 1962-1964 e ci fa partecipi del metodo di insegnamento adoperato dai primi grandi maestri del PIL, molti dei quali sono stati coinvolti nei lavori preconciliari, conciliari e, in seguito, nei progetti di riforma della liturgia, o come consultori del Consilium ad exsequendam Constitutionem de sacra liturgia o in altri modi. Si può quindi affermare che c’era una sintonia tra ciò che il Vaticano II elaborava in campo liturgico e ciò che era insegnato. L’autore crede che l’eredità che questi maestri ci hanno lasciato non vada dispersa, ma approfondita e, se necessario, aggiornata.

The Pontificio Istituto Liturgico (PIL) has been in the last decades an important point of reference for a lot of liturgy’s scholars. In this personal witness, the author tells his experience as a pupil in the years 1962-1964 and makes us sharing the teaching’s method, that was used by the first great teachers of PIL, many of them have been involved in the pre-council and council’s works, as well as in the later projects of liturgy’s reform, as they were experts by the Consilium ad exsequendam Constitutionem de sacra liturgia or acting in other ways. It is then possible to state that there was a tuning between what was elaborated by Vatican II in the liturgical field and what was taught. The author believes that the heritage that these teachers has left us, should not to be dispersed, but should be deepened and, if necessary, updated.
