La liturgia della Chiesa di Aquileia nei Sinodi diocesani

La conoscenza della vita liturgica di una Chiesa in un determinato periodo della sua storia si può ricavare anche dalle disposizioni contenute nelle Costituzioni del suoi Sinodi. Con il presente lavoro l’autore prende in considerazione il magistero dei Patriarchi di Aquileia contenuto nelle Costituzioni dei Sinodi celebrati nei sec. XVI-XVIII, prestando attenzione all’ambito liturgico. Nell’affrontare le tematiche liturgiche, i Patriarchi si dimostrano interessati soprattutto all’aspetto giuridico, più che a quello pastorale. I contenuti, poi, sono piuttosto ripetitivi; sono pochi, infatti, i cambiamenti che si registrano da un Sinodo all’altro. C’è, inoltre, una pedissequa preoccupazione di uniformarsi ai dettami del magistero proveniente dal Concilio di Trento, dalle Bolle papali e dai dettami delle Congregazioni romane. Anche la liturgia aquileiese ne ha fatto le spese. Dai testi sinodali si ricava qualche riferimento a situazioni culturali e sociali del periodo al quale essi si riferiscono, quali la condizione della donna, il rapporto con gli ebrei e i provvedimenti presi per arginare le incursioni dei turchi.

The knowledge of the liturgical life of a Church, in a definite period of its history, can be obtained also from the dispositions that are contained in the constitutions of its Synods. In this essay, the author takes into consideration the teachings of Aquileia’s Patriarchs that are preserved in the constitutions of Synods celebrated during the XVI-XVII centuries, with special reference to the liturgical field. Dealing with liturgical questions, they were interested above all in the juridical aspect, rather tan in the pastoral one. Contents are also repetitive; as matter of fact, the changes registered from a Synod to another are few. Moreover there is a slavish worry of conforming to the dispositions of the Trient Council, to papal Bullae and to the norms of Roman Congregations. The liturgy of Aquileia had also to pay for all that. From synodal texts we get some reference to cultural and social situations connected to the period to which they are concerned, as the woman’s condition, the relationship with Hebrew people and the dispositions to stop the Turkish raids.
