ABSTRACT – The “revolution” of mercy in pope Francis. The paradigm of mercy is the

key of pope Francis’ pontificate which continues the magisterium of his predecessors. The

Pope, however, calls the church to greater responsibility. This is not a new doctrine, but a

pastoral practice that through languages and “gestures” may escort the man in this time

in which hope is necessary.
